Voltes V: Legacy “Mega Trailer” Will Be Revealed Soon

Voltes V: Legacy is about to release the full trailer, dubbed as “mega trailer,” for their upcoming live-action adaptation of the popular classic robot anime series Voltes V. According to some Info on social media like Facebook., the mega trailer will be revealed in December 2022.

Voltes V: Legacy is expected to premiere early 2023 replacing “Maria Clara at Ibarra“, a fantasy series based on the popular book of Dr. José Rizal: Noli Me Tángere and El Filibusterismo.

As expectced, the adaptation will be shown weekdays on Primetime programming block on Philippines’ GMA7. I recently shared my thoughts about Voltes V: Legacy and you can read it here.

Since the live-action adaptation is based on a robot anime series, fans of the original series are expecting large-scale robot battles, which will be realized primarily through CGI effects. If I’m not mistaken, the only free television show you can see these giant robot fight scenes is on a Japanese TV show called Super Sentai (primary source of Power Rangers materials and footage). And there is minimal usage of computer-generated imagery (CGI) and relies on practical effects.

The lead cast of Voltes V: Legacy team are Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, leader of the Voltes Team, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Matt Lozano as Robert “Big Bert” Armstrong, Raphael Landicho as “Little Jon” Armstrong and Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson.
