Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger is a Japanese Super Sentai television series that aired in 2003. The show follows a group of three heroes called the Abarangers, who are chosen to protect Earth from the invading Evolien creatures. The Abarangers transform into dinosaur-themed warriors and pilot robotic dinosaur mechas called Bakuryuus to fight the villains.

In 2004, the American adaptation of Abaranger was produced by Disney and called Power Rangers Dino Thunder. The series incorporated footage and elements from Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger but adapted them to fit the Power Rangers franchise.

While Power Rangers Dino Thunder draws inspiration from Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger, there are some differences in characters, storylines, and power sets due to the adaptation process. The core concept of dinosaur-themed heroes fighting against villainous forces remains intact, but the execution and specific details may differ between the two series.
